DAY 01 Thu   USA / Madrid
Overnight flight to Madridl.

DAY 02 Fri   Madrid
Welcome to Spain! Upon arrival at the airport where you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Free time to rest.

DAY 03 Sat   Madrid (B)
Breakfast and morning sightseeing tour of cosmopolitan Madrid. Visit the 18th century Royal Palace of reigning King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, as well as the famous Prado Museum containing one of the world's most extensive art collections. Sightseeing of Puerta de Sol, Plaza de Espaņa and Cibeles Fountain. Remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day  04 Sun   Madrid / Avila / Salamanca (B/D)
Early morning departure to the Castilian city of Avila. Free time to explore the medieval walls and old quarters. Continue to Salamanca. Leisure time to walk about this monumental city and its famous Plaza Mayor. Dinner at hotel.

DAY 05 Mon   Salamanca / Coimbra (B/D)
Breakfast and departure to Ciudad Rodrigo and the Portuguese border. Continue via Guarda towards Coimbra, site of the oldest universities in Europe and birthplace of Fado, the music of Portugal. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 06 Tue Coimbra / Fatima / Lisbon (B)
After breakfast, travel to world renowned Fatima. Free time to visit the Sanctuary and Basilica before continuing to Lisbon. Evening at leisure.

DAY 07 Wed Lisbon (B)
Morning city tour of Lisbon. Today's drive will include the old Alfama Quarte, Tower of Belem and the Monastery of Los Jeronimos. Afternoon free. Optional tours available to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.

DAY 08 Thu Lisbon / Merida / Seville (B/L/D)
Breakfast and departure through the Portuguese countryside to Merida. Lunch and visit the 8th century Roman Theatre before proceeding to Seville. Dinner and accommodations.

DAY 09 Fri Seville (B/L or D)
City tour of Seville. Visit the immense 14th century Gothic Cathedral, the colorful patios of the Jewish Quarter known as "Barrio de Santa Cruz", the Alcazar Moorish Palace, the wonderful gardens of Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de Espaņa. Lunch or dinner at the hotel. Evening optional Spanish Folklore and Flamenco Show.

DAY 10 Sat Seville / Costa Del Sol / Malaga / Granada (B/L/D)
Breakfast and depart to the famous resort region of Costa del Sol. After lunch, travel through the port city of Malaga, before arriving in beautiful Granada for dinner and accommodations. 

 DAY 11 Sun Granada (B/L or D)
Morning city tour of Granada. Visit the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, summer residence of the Moorish Royal Family. Afternoon free. Lunch or dinner at hotel.

DAY 12 Mon Granada / Toledo / Madrid (B/L)
After breakfast, drive through quaint villages to Toledo. Visit the Church of Santo Tome containing El Greco's masterpiece and the medieval Synagogue. Lunch and continue to Madrid for accommodations.

DAY 13 Tue Madrid / USA (B)
Breakfast and end of services.
