DAY 01 Depart USA / Madrid
Overnight flight to Spain.
DAY 02
Madrid / Toledo (B)
Welcome to Spain! Upon arrival at the airport,
pick up your automobile and drive south to Toledo, a World Heritage
city. Visit the 13th century Cathedral, the Church of Santo Tome with El Grecos
masterpiece painting, the medieval Synagogue, and walk the cobblestone streets where good
shopping is available. Accommodations at Parador de Toledo 4*
DAY 03
Toledo / Guadalupe / Mérida (B)
Departure to the picturesque town of Guadalupe,
to visit the historical stone monastery which holds the carving of the Virgin
of Guadalupe. Time permitting enjoy an authentic regional lunch at the 15th century
Parador de Guadalupe. Arrive at the Roman town of Mérida
for a visit to the famous Roman Theatre. Overnight at the 18th century convent Parador
de Mérida 4*
DAY 04
Mérida / Trujillo / Cáceres / Mérida (B)
Drive to Trujillo, land of the Conquistadores.
Continue to Cáceres for a walking tour of this medieval city declared a World Heritage
site. Visit the ancient 14th century Parador Palace of Torreorgaz built on
Arabic foundations. Return to Mérida for overnight accommodations.
DAY 05
Mérida / Córdoba / Carmona (B)
Morning drive to Córdoba. Visit the
Arab Mosque-Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue and the Alcazar. Continue to the
ancient town of Carmona, a city rich in history and only 30 km from Seville.
Accommodations at the 14th century Arabic Fortress. Parador Alcazar del Rey Don
Pedro I is located inside the walls of the Alcazar and perched high overlooking
the city.
DAY 06
Carmona / Seville / Carmona (B)
Drive the short distance to Seville,
capital of Andalusia to visit the Cathedral, the Alcazar, Maria Luisa Park, Guadalquivir
River and the "Barrio de Santa Cruz." Enjoy a drink at one of the many outside
cafes before returning to Carmona for overnight.
DAY 07
Carmona / Jerez / Arcos / Ronda (B)
Breakfast and drive to Jerez, the
worlds sherry wine capital. Stop at a bodega for wine tasting before continuing the
picturesque drive through the white Andalusian towns of Arcos de la Frontera and Ronda,
a city perched on a rocky spur, with one of the oldest bull rings in Spain. Accommodations
at the Parador de Ronda, built alongside the Puente Nuevo in 1761. Its
windows provide a panoramic view of the "Tajo", a gorge of more than 300 feet.
DAY 08 Ronda
/ Marbella / Granada (B)
Drive to fashionable Marbella where you
can stroll through Puerto Banus Marina, before continuing to beautiful Granada. Alhambra
Palace 4*
DAY 09
Granada / Ubeda / Almagro (B)
Morning visit of Granada including
entrance and guided visit of the Alhambra Palace, residence of the Catholic kings in 1492,
and the Generalife Gardens. Depart via Ubeda where it is possible to stop for lunch
at the 16th century Parador, continuing your drive through castles, windmills and
vineyards to the 16th century Franciscan Convent the Parador de Almagro 4*
for overnight.
DAY 10
Almagro / Aranjuez / Chinchón / Madrid (B)
Continue your drive of the Castilian plain
through the Royal Town of Aranjuez, where you can stop to visit the 18th century
Royal Palace. Continue via Chinchón, arriving in Madrid for accommodations at Hotel
Melia Madrid 5*
DAY 11
Madrid (B)
Breakfast and morning sightseeing tour of
cosmopolitan Madrid. Visit the 18th century Royal Palace of reigning King Juan Carlos and
Queen Sofia, as well as the famous Prado Museum containing one of the worlds most
extensive art collections. Balance of the day at leisure.

Breakfast and end of services.
