DAY 02 Mon Rome
Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted and transferred to the refurbished palace hotel Imperiale 4*

DAY 03 Tue Rome (B)
Morning visit to the Vatican museums for viewing of the Gallery of Tapestries, the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s frescoes. Afternoon sightseeing of ancient Rome. Drive through Capitol Square for a panoramic view of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Visit the Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Basilica of St. Paul outside the walls.

DAY 04 Wed Rome / Naples / Pompeii / Amalfi (B/D)
Breakfast and early morning departure to Naples for a city tour, before continuing to Pompeii for a walking tour of the remarkable excavations of this Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Arrive at the famous Amalfi coast for dinner and accommodations at the Marmorata Hotel 4*. This 15th century paper-mill sits on rugged rocks overlooking the sea.

DAY 05 Thu Amalfi / Capri / Amalfi (B/D)
After breakfast, depart by steamer to the beautiful island of Capri. Visit the Augustus’ Gardens and Villa San Michel. Enjoy a Cappuccino in the renowned "Piazzetta" before returning to Amalfi for dinner.

DAY 06 Fri Amalfi / Caserta / Assisi / Castel Rigone (B/D)
Departure to Caserta for a visit to the colossal 18th century Palazzo Reale. Travel through the little towns of Umbria before arriving for a visit of Assisi. View the Basilica of Saint Francis which contains masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Continue to Castel Rigone for dinner and overnight at the Relais La Fattoria 4*, a 17th century building located on a hill overlooking the tranquil Trasimeno Lake.

DAY 07 Sat Castel Rigone / San Gimignano / Florence (B/D)
Breakfast and departure to the beautiful medieval city of Siena, famous for the fan-shaped Piazza del Campo, the Palio Festival and the 12th century Gothic Cathedral. Proceed to San Gimignano, a medieval town dominated by thirteen towers. Arrive in Florence for dinner and overnight at beautifully restored 19th century palace

DAY 08 Sun Florence (B/D)
Morning departure to Florence for a visit to the Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, the Academy of Fine Arts with "David" by Michelangelo and the Santa Croce Church. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at hotel.

DAY 09 Mon Florence / Bologna / Rivarotta(Venice) (B/D)
After breakfast, depart for Bologna to visit the Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore. Arrive in the walled town of Ferrara to view the Castle of Duca Este and the Diamond Palace. Continue to Rivarotta for accommodations and dinner at the Villa Luppis 4*, an 11th century monastery converted into a superb country house.

DAY 10 Tue Rivarotta / Venice / Rivarotta (B)
Breakfast and departure to Venice for a walking tour of the Piazza, the Basilica of St. Mark, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. Afternoon at leisure. Return to Villa Luppis for dinner and overnight.

Morning departure along the Via Romea to the ancient Abbazia Di Pomposa, a monastic complex of Romanesque art. Continue to Perugia, a notable medieval town, before arriving in Rome for accommodations at hotel Imperiale 4*
