DAY 01 USA /
Casablanca
Overnight flight to Casablanca.
DAY 02
Casablanca / Fez (D)
Arrival in Casablanca, with connecting flight
to Fez, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at
leisure. Accommodations and dinner at La Maison Bleue 5*, a charming manor
in the ancient Medina or Hotel Palais Jamai 5*
DAY 03 Fez
(B/D)
After breakfast, full day sightseeing of
fascinating Fez, a delightful city with huge ramparts, fortresses, museums, gardens and
libraries. The tour will include the medieval Medina, Nejjarine fountain, the Great Gate
and the Medrasas. Dinner and overnight in Fez.
DAY 04 Fez /
Beni Mellal / Marrakech (B/L/D)
Breakfast and depart to the Swiss-styled
town of Ifrane summer home of King Hassan II, via the Atlas Mountains stopping in Beni
Mellal for lunch with free time to visit on your own. Continue to Marrakech,
the Jewel of Morocco for dinner and accommodations at the luxurious Hotel La
Mamounia 5* or La Maison Arabe, built on the grounds of an 18th century palace and situated
within the ancient ramparts of the old city.
DAY 05 Fez /
Marrakech (B/D)
Today visit the second oldest Imperial
city, founded by the Almoravides at the end of the 11th century. The historical sightseeing includes the Menara Garden,
Saadian tombs, Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia. Lunch on your own and afternoon visit to
the ancient souks to the famous Djema El Fna Square where you will find an ample display
of handicrafts among the local natives, snake charmers and acrobats. Tonights
gourmets dinner is at the famous El Yacourt Restaurant, one of the best
restaurants in Morocco (closed Mondays.)
DAY 06
Marrakech / Ouirgane (B)
Breakfast and short drive to Ouirgane.
Free time to rest before driving to the base of the hill to which you will trek to visit
the 12th century Tin
Mal Mosque atop the hill. Overnight at La Rosearie
DAY 07
Ouirgane / Marrakech / Ouarzazate (B/D)
Travel across the High Atlas Mountains through
the spectacular views of canyon walls to visit Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage site
and a photographers paradise. This was the filming location of Jewel of the Nile
and Lawrence of Arabia. Continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at Berbere
Palace 5*
DAY 08
Ouarzazate / Zagora (B)
Breakfast and drive through the Sahara desert dramatically
contrasted by innumerable oasis with an abundance of palm, fig, date and pomegranate trees
surrounding the various kasbahs. Overnight at La Maison de Charme
DAY 09
Zagora / MHamid (B/D)
Full day excursion to the real gateway
of the Moroccan Sahara desert. Drive through the low lands and then along the mountain
passes to Tamergroute where you will find the Moorish Koranic Library, with rare
books and documents, some written on gazelle hide from the 13th century. Continue by
4X4 Land Rover to the sand dunes for overnight in Berber tents. Dinner.
DAY 10
MHamid / Taroudant (B/D)
Camel ride at dawn to the top of the dunes to
watch the sun rising on the spectacular Sahara. Depart via Ouarzazate stopping in
Taliouine for lunch on your own before continuing to sophisticated Taroudant, one
of the most elegant towns in the south. Visit the rich bazaars reflecting a strong arts
and crafts tradition before arriving at one of the worlds finest resorts, La
Gazelle d Or 5* at, set in over two hundred acres of orange
groves at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 11
Taroudant / Essaouira (B)
Breakfast and departure to the quaint,
enchanting seaside village of Essaouira located on the Atlantic Coast, facing a
cloister of offshore islands, a small friendly town with a colorful port. Overnight at Villa
Maroc 5*
DAY 12
Essaouira / El Jadida / Casablanca (B/D)
Drive up to the coast to beautiful Casablanca.
Visit en route El Jadida with its famous citadel, a reminder of the 16th century Portuguese occupation.
Arrive in Casablanca for sightseeing before checking in at the Royal Mansour Hotel 5* . Dinner at hotel.
DAY 13
Casablanca / USA (B)
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
